Hóng Péng 洪朋 (fl. YuányòuChóngníng, c. 1090s; died at age 38), Guīfù 龜父, of Nánchāng 南昌 (Jiāngxī). Eldest of the Sì Hóng 四洪 brothers (Hóng Péng, Hóng Chú 洪芻 KR4d0142, Hóng Yán 洪炎 KR4d0141, Hóng Yǔ 洪羽). All four were nephews of Huáng Tíngjiān 黃庭堅 黃庭堅 (Huáng’s sister married into the Hóng family). Twice tried the jìnshì exam without success; died at 38, never having held office. Listed in Lǚ Běnzhōng 呂本中’s Jiāngxī shīshè zōngpài tú 江西詩社宗派圖 — one of the four Hóng brothers in the school. Huáng Tíngjiān praised him: “Guīfù’s bǐlì kāngdǐng (brush-power lifts-the-tripod); other days, no worry of lacking wénzhāng chuíshì (writing to-pass-down-to-the-age).” Lǚ Běnzhōng ranked the Jiāngxī shīpài with Chén Shīdào first, Pān Dàlín second, Xiè Yì third, Hóng Péng fourth — among Huáng’s nephews, ranked highest. Author of Hóng Guīfù jí 洪龜父集 KR4d0131 — originally 100 piān compiled by Huáng Jūn 黃君著 of the same county after Hóng Péng’s death; Sìkù reconstruction is 2 juǎn with 178 poems.
