Ŭijŏk 義寂 (Korean Ŭijŏk; fl. mid-7th c.) was a Silla-dynasty 新羅 Buddhist exegete who studied in Tang China under Xuánzàng 玄奘 (玄奘) and Kuījī 窺基 (the principal Yogācāra master). His extant works include the Púsàjièběn shū 菩薩戒本疏 (KR6k0082) — a two-fascicle commentary on the bodhisattva-precepts of the Fànwǎng jīng — and major commentaries on the Lotus Sūtra, the Sukhāvatīvyūha, and other Mahāyāna scriptures. As a Silla scholar working in the Tang Yogācāra tradition, he is one of the principal channels by which Chinese Mahāyāna scholarship was transmitted to Korean Buddhism. The lifedates are uncertain: traditional sources give activity in the 660s–680s.
