Dàolǐng 道領 (variant Dàolǐng 道嶺), Chìsōng 赤松 (“Red Pine”); often referred to as Chìsōng Dàolǐng 赤松道領 or Qiánlíng Chìsōng 黔靈赤松. LínjìYángqí dharma-heir of Mǐnshù Rúxiāng 如相 (1603–1672). Born 明崇禎七年甲戌四月廿四 = 1634-05-20 Gregorian; death year unknown — was 53 in 康熙二十五年 = 1686. Native of Tóngchuān 潼川 (Sìchuān); lay surname Hán 韓; mother née Xiè 謝, who carried him into Guìzhōu during the wartime chaos.

Formation. At 15 reflected on the impermanence of the world, took up vegetarian-practice and niàn-fó, entered Nán-wàng-shān 南望山. Studied under Jiǔ-fēng Líng-yào 九峰靈藥, given the wàn-fǎ guī yī gōng-àn. Then under Bái-yún Xī-shí 白雲西識 — went to Yún-nán with Tóng-fēng 同峰 to Wǔ-huá-sì 五華寺. One night sitting in zuò-chán, suddenly entered samādhi; a lamp-flower spark startled him out — “万法歸一 is just this principle.” Returned to Bái-yún and read the Avataṃsaka’s Rú-lái xiàn-xiàng pǐn — “shì-zūn yǔ zhū-tiān shuō-fǎ … bù-shēng bù-miè rú wǒ shuō-fǎ yì fù rú-shì” — let out an involuntary cry, gaining insight. Sought out Mǐn-shù at Zūn-yì Hǎi-lóng-shān 遵義海龍山, eventually receiving jì-bié (sealing).

Abbacies (Guìyáng). Guìyáng Shòushìsì 貴陽壽世寺 and Qiánlíngshān Hóngfúsì 貴陽黔靈山弘福寺 — the latter is among the most important Buddhist monasteries founded under the Qīng in Guìzhōu province; closed himself in bìguān for three years before opening dharma there; preached for over 30 years.

Disciples. Major fǎsì include Dàzhuō Jìngxiá 大拙淨霞, Yúnshí Míngyuán 雲石明源, plus many others — a large lineage anchoring LínjìYángqí in Guìzhōu.
