Huáng Hè 黃鶴
Zì Shūsì 叔似. Native of Yíhuáng xiàn 宜黃 in Fúzhōu 撫州 (modern Yíhuáng in central Jiāngxī). Sòng-period scholar; son of Huáng Xī 黃希. Floruit late 12th – early 13th century; the Bǔzhù Dù shī completion is dated Jiādìng 9 (1216).
His principal scholarly contribution is the completion of his father’s Bǔ qiānjiā jízhù Dù gōngbù shī shǐ (= Bǔzhù Dù shī, KR4c0017). Hè worked on the text for some thirty years after his father’s death, integrating the existing Sòng Qiānjiā zhù book-stall edition, the jízhù of Wáng Zhū and Zhào Cìgōng et al., and substantial supplementary annotations of his own (tagged Hè yuē 鶴曰) and his father’s (tagged Xī yuē 希曰). He extended the ànnián biānshī (year-by-year arrangement) editorial program inherited from Huáng Bósī 黃伯思 and Lǔ Yìn 魯訔, producing the most rigorous chronological arrangement of the corpus to that date — a format inherited and further developed by the Qīng Qiū Zhàoáo 仇兆鰲 Dù shī xiángzhù KR4c0020.
Hè’s own collection, the Běichuāng yùyán jí 北窗寓言集, is long lost. CBDB has no entry.
