Preserves Rúqián’s sermons, gōng’àn commentary, poetry, and correspondence from his Sichuan Chán-teaching career. The poetic title Qiāo kōng yí xiǎng 敲空遺響 (“Remaining echoes of striking emptiness”) evokes the classical Chán trope of the master’s teaching as a bell struck in empty space, its echoes lingering as teaching-texts for future practitioners.
