Northern–Southern-Sòng-period Buddhist scholar-monk, granted the imperial honorific Guāngyán Wújì dàshī 光嚴無際大師 (“Wújì, Master of Splendid Adornment”) and styled in the bibliographic catalogues simply Wújì 無際 (“the Boundless”). Biographical details and lifedates not preserved; the floruit given here (c. 1100–1180) reflects the late-Northern-Sòng / early-Southern-Sòng commentarial environment in which his attested works were composed.

普觀’s principal surviving work is the [[KR6i0368|Lánpén jīng shū huìgǔ tōngjīn jì 蘭盆經疏會古通今記]] (X373) — a sub-commentary on [[KR6i0365|Yúlánpén jīng shū 盂蘭盆經疏]] (T1792) by 宗密. The preface to that work characterizes the project as a critical synthesis (“會古通今” — “harmonising the ancient and penetrating the present”) of the prior sub-commentary tradition: the Yányìnjì of Bìbǎo Zhīhán 碧寶尊者 (the so-called “Stone-wall School”, 石壁), the Xīnchāo 新鈔 of Gūshān Zhìyuán 孤山智圓 (964–1027), and 元照’s contemporaneous [[KR6i0367|Xīnjì 新記]] (X372). The work’s preface remarks that it tries to reconcile what 普觀 sees as the exegetical excesses of all three preceding sub-commentaries.
