Míng 明, zì Huànzhù 幻住 (“Illusion-Dwelling”); often referred to as Huànzhù Míng 幻住明 or Huìlíng Huànzhù 會靈幻住明 from his abbacy. LínjìYángqí dharma-heir of Ěrdú Dàotài 耳毒道泰 (in the Pòshān Hǎimíng line). Lifedates unknown — active 1660–1694. Native of Lúzhōu 瀘州 (Sìchuān); lay surname Zēng 曾.
Abbacies (four). Línshuǐxiàn Xiānrénshān Guānyīn chányuàn 鄰水縣仙人山觀音禪院 (entered 順治庚子冬 = 1660 winter); Dàzhúxiàn Wànfēngshān Tàipíng chánsì 大竹縣萬峰山太平禪寺; Wànxiàn Xīnglóng chánsì 萬縣興隆禪寺; Shèhóng Huìlíngsì 射洪會靈寺 (the principal seat giving him his sobriquet Huìlíng Huànzhù).
Disciples. Tiānrán 天然 and Shuǐyìng 水映 fǎsì (named in the liánfāngjì).
Work. KR6q0549 《幻住明禪師語錄》 2 juan, J38 B432, compiled by fǎsì Qīngshàng 清尚 děng biān; preface dated 康熙甲戌歲冬杪除日 = 1694-12 by an anonymous lay donor at Fánlíng 樊陵.

The dharma-name Míng 明 is shared by many monks in the Buddhist canon. This entry is specifically for Huànzhù Míng 幻住明 (DILA A019619), a SìchuānLúzhōu LínjìYángqí monk active 1660–1694. Should not be confused with Pòshān Hǎimíng 海明 (1597–1666), with whom he is in the same line of descent (Pòshān → Ěrdú Dàotài → Huànzhù Míng) — see also DILA A009652 for the latter.
