Wáng Lǚ 王履 (zì Āndào 安道, born 1332, fl. late Yuán to early Míng), Yuán-period physician of Kūnshān 崑山 (modern Jiāngsū). Studied medicine with 朱震亨 Zhū Zhènhēng of Jīnhuá, fully inheriting his teacher’s transmission. Lived into the early Míng (Hóngwǔ period); the Míng shǐ Fāngjì zhuàn records him among Míng practitioners although his work was completed in the Yuán. Author of the Yī jīng sùhuí jí 醫經溯洄集 (KR3e0066, 2 juan, 21 essays) — a critical philological-and-doctrinal work on the Shānghán tradition, with particular focus on the textual integrity of the 397-method (三百九十七法) classification of the Shānghán lùn and the discrimination of internal-vs-external damage. Also a notable Yuán painter and poet; Jiǔ líng shānfáng jí contains references to his artistic-and-literary work alongside his medical career.
