Jí-duō 笈多 (*Dharmagupta, “Dharma-Protected”; d. 619 CE; full name 達磨笈多 Dámó-jí-duō), Suí-period Buddhist translator from southern India (南印度). According to the Lìdài sānbǎo jì 歷代三寶紀 and the Xù gāosēng zhuàn 續高僧傳 (T2060, juan 2), Dharmagupta arrived at Cháng’ān in Kāihuáng 開皇 10 = 590 CE and was active under emperors Wén-dì and Yáng-dì of the Suí, producing some 14 Buddhist texts in 33 fascicles, including [[KR6c0027|Jīn-gāng néng-duàn bōrě bōluómì jīng (T238)]] (the Suí-period Vajracchedikā translation), [[KR6c0030|Vajracchedikā-śāstra (T1510a)]], and T1510b (Asaṅga’s Vajracchedikā-śāstra translation).
