Shānghán lùn zhù lái sū jí 傷寒論註來蘇集

Annotated Cold-Damage Treatise, Lái-sū Collection by 柯琴 (Kē Qín, Yùnbó 韻伯, fl. late 17th c., 清)

About the work

The four-juan core commentary component of 柯琴 Kē Qín’s larger Láisū jí — the actual annotation of the Shānghán lùn text, as distinct from the doctrinal essays of the (KR3ef007). This recension presents the Shānghán materials reorganized by clinical syndrome and treatment pattern, with Kē’s running commentary on each segment. In modern editions the Lùn zhù is the most heavily used component of the Láisū jí set.

Abstract

Same composition window as KR3ef013 (1669–1674). The Lùn zhù’s structural innovation is its segmentation of the Shānghán text by 證 (clinical syndrome) — a re-arrangement that pulls related sections together across Wáng Shūhé’s original chapter-divisions, allowing the reader to see the full prescriptive logic for each syndrome in one place. Kē’s commentary is concise, clinically-oriented, and explicitly polemical against both the 成無己 Chéng Wúyǐ commentarial tradition and the 方有執 Fāng Yǒuzhí / 喻昌 Yú Chāng restoration line — Kē argues that his syndrome-based reorganization is the proper recovery of Zhāng Jī’s clinical intent, against the Wáng Shūhé manuscript-sequence approach.

The text is commonly bound with the Shānghán lùn yì KR3ef007 and the Fù yì KR3ef033 as a unified set.
