About the work
A three-fascicle Tang-period Chinese translation of Asaṅga’s Vajracchedikā-summary verses (the kārikā-text of T1514) together with Vasubandhu’s prose-commentary on those verses. Translated by Yìjìng 義淨. Signature: 「無著菩薩造頌／世親菩薩釋／三藏法師義淨奉制譯」. The Taishō header cross-references T1511 (菩提流支 Bodhiruci’s earlier Vasubandhu translation) and the related works at T1512 / T1514.

Abstract
T1513 is Yìjìng’s Tang re-translation of the integrated Asaṅga-Vasubandhu Vajracchedikā-commentary (the same Indic text-cluster that 菩提流支 Bodhiruci had translated as T1511 some two centuries earlier). Yìjìng’s translation reflects the more developed Tang philological apparatus and the néngduàn (能斷) Sanskrit-preserving translation idiom. Translation falls within Yìjìng’s documented post-pilgrimage Tang activity (700–713).
