Dàjué Pǔjì Néngrén Xiù Guóshī yǔlù 大覺普濟能仁琇國師語錄
Recorded Sayings of the State Preceptor Xiù, Greatly-Awakened, Universally Saving, Bestower of Benevolence by 行岳 (編)
Seven-juan yǔlù of Yùlín Tōngxiù 通琇 玉林通琇 (1614-05-28 – 1675-09-28, age 62), the Shùnzhì-emperor’s preceptor and most prominent LínjìYángqí guóshī (state preceptor) of the early Qīng. LínjìYángqí dharma-heir of Tiānyǐn Yuánxiū 圓修 (1575–1635, cf. KR6q0603) — one of the four founders of the Qìngshān 磬山 sub-branch. Native of Jiāngyīn 江陰. Compiled by fǎsì Qīyún Xíngyuè 行岳 (1614–1666) biān. The full title invokes Tōngxiù’s three successive imperial titles bestowed by Shùnzhì: Dàjué chánshī 大覺禪師, Dàjué Pǔjì chánshī, and Dàjué Pǔjì Néngrén Guóshī.

Other points of interest
The imperial title sequence is significant: the bestowal of Guóshī status — preceptorship to the empire — is unique in J40 to Yùlín Tōngxiù and his Tiāntóng cousin Mùchén Dàomǐn 道忞 (cf. KR6q0604 / KR6q0607). Both were cultivated by the Shùnzhì emperor, in the early-Qīng court’s strategic Buddhist legitimization. The phonetic glosses (yīnshì 音釋) at the end of each abbacy section indicate careful textual treatment for canonical inclusion.
