Other points of interest

The Wànshàndiàn 萬善殿 yǔlù in juan 2 is the most direct surviving record of the Shùnzhì emperor’s personal Buddhist instruction — Xìngcōng (along with Yùlín Tōngxiù, Mùchén Dàomǐn, and Máoxī Xíngsēn) was one of the four master LínjìYángqí teachers personally engaged by the young emperor. The 進五燈表 (presentation memorial for the Wǔdēng quánshū 五燈全書) indicates Xìngcōng’s editorial oversight of the major Wǔdēng quánshū lamp-history compilation — a primary monument of late-Míng / early-Qīng Línjì historiography. KR6q0609 is the closing entry of the J40 catalog sequence, marking the final imperial-canonical inclusion of the ShùnzhìKāngxī Buddhist establishment.
