About the work
The third late-type witness of the Liángcháo Fù dàshì sòng Jīngāngjīng tradition — see KR6v0098 for full discussion. This witness uses the variant title jiásòng 夾頌 (“interleaved praise”), referring to the structural form in which the Fù dàshì sòng verses are interleaved between sections of the Vajracchedikā sūtra-text.
Abstract
The jiásòng form — sūtra-text + intercalated zàn-verse + sūtra-text + zàn-verse — is the form in which the cycle entered later printed Vajracchedikā editions. KR6v0100 is therefore the closest Dūnhuáng-attested witness to the form that became canonical in late-imperial China (cf. the Juélián 覺連 1551 annotated edition X74n1494 and other late printings). The jiásòng form persists today in the most widely-used Chinese Buddhist printed Jīngāngjīng editions.

The KR6v0093–0100 cluster, taken together, documents the Jīngāngjīng zàn cycle’s complete textual evolution from a bare 50-verse zàn-cycle (early-Táng, P.2039-verso) through middle-period zhùsòngshì integration to the late-Táng/Sòng Fù dàshì sòng Jīngāngjīng with full Bā Jīngāng / Sì púsà esoteric framing — and onward to the late-imperial printed editions.
