Lǐ Wén 李彣 (zì Zhènshēng 振聲, hào Xīyuán 西垣, fl. late seventeenth century, 清), early-Kāngxī physician. Student of Pān Dēnglín 潘鄧林. Author of the Jīnguì yào lüè guǎng zhù 金匱要略廣註 (KR3ef087, 8 juan, dated Kāngxī 21 = 1682), one of the earliest sustained Qīng commentaries on the Jīnguì yào lüè, slightly later than 徐彬 Xú Bīn’s Lùn zhù and Chéng Lín 程林’s Zhí jiě. The “guǎng zhù” 廣註 (extensive annotation) refers to Lǐ’s broad citation practice — drawing not only on the standard SòngYuánMíng medical authorities (徐之才, 朱肱, 許叔微, 張子和, 朱丹溪, 王履, 張兼善, 趙養葵, 樓全善, 王三陽, 喻嘉言, 郭稽中, 武之望, 陳藏器, 李時珍) but also on the Yì jīng 易經, Shàng shū 尚書, and the military classic Hǔ qián jīng 虎鈐經. The work survives in a single Kāngxī 21 (1682) blockprint and several manuscript copies; it was not widely circulated in the Qīng but was cited by the editors of the Yī zōng jīn jiàn 醫宗金鑑 (KR3ef086) and noted by Tamba no Motokata in his bibliographical survey (KR3ef085).
