Historical significance. Together with Shānhuī Bì’s Guìzhōu network (at KR6q0437), Fúhuì’s Yúnnán mission-program constitutes the Qīng-era Sichuan-Pò-shān / Yuánliáo sub-line’s southwestern-frontier establishment. The two dharma-brothers divided the frontier: Shānhuī → Guìzhōu, Fúhuì → Yúnnán. Both operated under the semi-autonomous Wú Sānguì 吳三桂 Pínxī Wáng 平西王 administration (1660–73). Characterized by his layman-preface-writer (see KR6q0216) as bó xué néng wén, dòng xī chán lǐ 博學能文洞晰禪理.
