Early-Kāngxī master physician of Sūzhōu; zì Lùyù 路玉, hào Shíwán Lǎorén 石頑老人. Lifedates conventionally 1617–c.1700 (b. late Wànlì; alive in 1695 to complete the Yī tōng; death usually placed in 1700 or shortly after). Counted with Yú Jiāyán 喻嘉言 and Wú Qiān 吳謙 as one of the “Three Great Physicians of the Early Qīng.” Author of:
- Yī tōng 醫通 (later 張氏醫通, 16 juan, 1695) — KR3e0095 — his magnum opus, an internal-medicine synthesis.
- Zhěn zōng sān mèi 診宗三昧 (KR3eb022, 1689) — pulse-and-diagnosis treatise.
- Shānghán zuǎn lùn 傷寒纘論 — Shānghán commentary.
- Shānghán xù lùn 傷寒緒論 — Shānghán supplement.
- Běn jīng féng yuán 本經逢原 (1695) — Shénnóng běn cǎo jīng exposition.
